Modules
The Scope of Psychology
This module provides an overview of psychology as a scientific discipline, exploring its origins, key schools of thought, and contemporary applications. Students will examine the breadth of psychology’s scope, from clinical and counseling practice to education, business, and community settings. Emphasis is placed on understanding the relevance of psychological principles to everyday life and professional practice.

Introduction to Social and Developmental Psychology
This module introduces students to two core areas of psychology: social and developmental. It explores how individuals develop cognitively, emotionally, and socially across the lifespan, alongside the influence of groups, culture, and society on behavior. Students will analyze theories of human development and social interaction, and consider their implications for applied contexts.

Introduction to Child Psychology
This module provides a foundational introduction to the field of child psychology, offering students a broad understanding of how children develop, think, feel, and behave from infancy through adolescence. It explores the major theoretical perspectives in child psychology—such as cognitive, behavioral, psychodynamic, humanistic, and socio-cultural approaches—while considering their relevance to real-life child development.

This module explores theories and research on attachment, focusing on the development of emotional bonds in infancy and childhood and their influence on later relationships. Students will critically engage with classical and contemporary perspectives on attachment, and assess the role of caregiving, environment, and culture in shaping attachment patterns.

This module investigates the cognitive processes underlying human memory, including encoding, storage, and retrieval. Students will examine models of memory, factors affecting recall, and memory distortions. Applications in education, eyewitness testimony, and cognitive enhancement will also be explored.
